Bong Smoking Children

As Pakse was quite deserted we went for a look around the Bolaven Plateau and stumbled upon a village where the children have found something even more amusing than running round naked in the dust. And what could be more exciting than having a naked frolic in the dust spray from passing vehicles? Smoking fags and bongs of course! Drugs of choice: Tobbacco and sugar cane.
One little girl was so small she had to support the bottom of her bamboo bong with her feet. In this village the children (over the age of five - they do have some standards, you know) all had noticably deep voices and hacking smokers coughs... Great. The tour guide informed us that we shouldn't give the children money because if we gave to one the one who didn't get any would get moody - lack of fags does that apparently.
The rest of the tour involved some very impressive water falls, some extremely excited Austrians, intent on geting their kits off, and a coffee and tea plantation owner who told us that the difference between brown and green tea is that they mix a bit of coffee into brown tea.... Hmmm, those of you who have a scientific nature might want to try that out...
