Hong Kong - The Dan Perspective

After actually not wanting to stop over here at all but failing to change our flights in time we ended up having a reasonably entertaining if unenergetic time. We turned up at our hostel, Wang Fat (which is a good un and cheap), with no idea at all of what was here. Turns out it's a big dirty city with streets line alternately with knock off DVD shops and those sops that sell nasty dried and plucked animals and smell bad (like in chinatown). The whole place smells of shite with extra patches of extremely shite smell. Spent the whole of last night in Royal's so called English pub...but they never get it anywhere near right in this neck of the woods...it's no Woodman, I can tell you (those of the Cyprus mission will know what Im on about).
Tonight, we went to see a Korean film about killing and incest in the plushest cinema ever know to man. As Catherine says, it's on some craftmatic adjustable shit, just the comfort necessary to watch a bloke eat a live octopus. For Catherine, this just brought the traumas of last week flooding back.
Now....we are sitting in some dodgy ass late night gaming saddo emporium. Woo hoo. All in all we've not been more than 100m from the hotel the entire time. That's us, intrepid, like Uncle Travelling Matt off Fraggle Rock.
Tomorrow, Thailand, where we will be lying down for some time.
Finally, our condolences to the family and friends of Old Dirty Bastard, who seems to have carked it for some reason. Which is a shame because he was entertaining and drank alot of Bailey's.
Hong Kong!

Well, theres a great cinema here with wicked craftmatic style chairs and also a great cafe called deli france - yes culture strikes again. We also noticed the high buildings, sky scrapers I believe they are called, which are the only type of building here and the chokingly polluted air. The fast food style is of the Mc Cafe home/deployiety, with all that yoghurty type stuff and salad. The toilets are English. On which inspiring note I will leave Dan to take over.
